We would like to wish all our friends and customers a very Merry Christmas.

We will be closing at 5pm today to start our Christmas celebrations and will be opening for 2012 on Tuesday 3rd January.

We are starting to get into the Christmas spirit here at Fairfields Farm Crisps. Amy, Angela and Sarah spent some time yesterday afternoon decorating our office Christmas trees.

A little gift for St Helena Hospice

December is here and the countdown to Christmas is well underway (20 days!!).

This year we have chosen to donate our Christmas card budget to St Helena Hospice, we hope that this donation will go a little way in helping to support them throughout the festive period.

We have finished harvesting!

This Monday we finished harvesting all 500 acres of our potato fields and celebrated with a team fish and chip lunch! Our team have worked really hard this season and we are really pleased with this years potato crop.

We will now spend time hand grading these potatoes and putting them into storage in our cold stores. Some of these potatoes will be sold as fresh potatoes, but our Lady Rosetta variety will be used to produce our hand cooked Fairfields Farm Crisps. All our crisping potatoes are stored together in one large cold store where the conditions are set perfectly to ensure these potatoes make the best crisps.

At 25cm long and 10cm at its widest point this potato is one of the biggest we have ever grown. A nice surprise for the harvesting team so we thought we would share it with you.

A big thank you to everyone who came to see us at Speciality & Fine Food Fair last week. We always thoroughly enjoy the shows we do and this years Speciality was no exception. The feedback we received on our hand cooked crisps was fantastic, so thank you all very much.

Speciality and Fine Food Fair

Come and see us at Speciality and Fine Food Fair held at London Olympia on Sunday 4th September through to Tuesday 6th September.

Sarah, Angela and Nicole will be on stand 451 where we will be running tasting sessions of our hand cooked crisps and showing our brand new product - the 100% recyclable box of crisps.

310 acres harvested....

This years harvesting team are making great progress. We have now harvested 310 acres of potatoes and have 190 acres to go. We have finished lifting all the varieties that will be used as fresh potatoes and will now start harvesting the varieties we use to make our hand cooked crisps.

Our cold stores are now starting to fill up with potatoes and over the next few months these will be hand graded and washed.

We are finalists...

We are very proud to have been named as a finalist for "Best Essex Food Product 2011". This means a great deal to us as this award is based on votes from members of the public. So a big thank you to every one who has voted for our crisps, we are pleased that you love Fairfields Farm Crisps as much as we do x

Fairfields On The Road

Over the last few weeks we have been out and about exhibiting at local consumer shows. These are a great opportunity for us to meet the public, run tasting sessions and gain feedback on our hand cooked crisps. Our team have exhibited at The Suffolk Show, Tendring Show and also the first ever Essex Festival of Food & Drink. These shows were a great success with a staggering 4316 bags of Fairfields Farm Crisps being sold! Thank you to everyone who came to see us.
